For the third year in a row, Norwich Business Improvement District has secured and been awarded the prestigious Purple Flag accreditation for the city centre’s evening and night-time economy (ENTE). Similar to the Blue Flag for beaches, Purple Flag aims to raise the standard and broaden the appeal of town and city centres between the hours of 17:00 and 05:00.
Purple Flag is a national accreditation scheme for city centres at night. It’s the ‘gold standard’ for night time destinations and Norwich has been recognised for providing a vibrant and diverse mix of dining, entertainment and culture whilst promoting the safety and wellbeing of visitors and local residents.
As a certified Purple Flag city, Norwich boasts a safe and enjoyable night out any day of the week. To secure this accreditation, Norwich BID worked in partnership with the Police and Late Night Norwich.
