Join this free, family-friendly festive treasure hunt across Norwich.

Inspired by the re-opening of Norwich Castle Keep and Henry I celebrating Christmas 1121 at Norwich Castle, The Christmas Crown Trail will be a free festive treasure hunt across Norwich.

Launching on 20 November and running until 5 January 2026, the Christmas Crown Trail will guide visitors across the city centre locating festive displays, searching out crowns and clues within creative shop window designs.

At each stop, those on the trail will find crowns and letters to reveal a hidden message; they can then enter a competition to be in with the chance of winning some incredible prizes donated by Norwich Castle.

Along the way, families can see twinkling festive scenes, stop for tasty seasonal treats, discover places to shop for later, and enjoy time together, away from all the usual distractions.

The trail forms part of VisitNorwich’s Christmas campaign. As the city’s official Destination Marketing Organisation and part of Norwich BID, VisitNorwich is celebrating its 20th year promoting Norwich’s stories, sights, and seasonal spirit.

A printed map showing the trail locations will be distributed across the city centre, as well as being available online. The Christmas Crown Trail map will also include locations of light installations and festive windows within the city.
