'What is a Norwich?' - A poem for Norwich, the City of Stories by Piers Harrison-Reid.
The City of Stories is the exciting new brand for Norwich and is a tribute to our literary firsts: England’s first UNESCO City of Literature; the first woman to write a book in English; the University of East Anglia (UEA) which pioneered the first Creative Writing MA; and the only National Centre for Writing in the country.
Always moving, always innovating, always growing. And always with a story to tell. Today, the City of Stories celebrates Norwich’s new narrative: a place of unique perspective, soaring spires and pub fires. A place you don’t pass by but go to by choice. See new branding on wayfinding signs, the printed city map, and on the VisitNorwich and Norwich BID’s websites, as well as seasonal tourism campaigns.
As a city full of pride, join us on this page turning journey and get involved – what would you like see, how would you like to see Norwich grow and develop? – let us know, we would love to hear from you...
