Rio Carbon Reporting
Rio is an intelligent sustainability management system. This platform helps businesses, public sector organisations, and SME’s track their sustainability data, report on their progress, and learn to become more sustainable.

What are the benefits?
Carbon impact is not only useful to track as a cost-saving exercise, it is also information which is increasingly being demanded by company stakeholders and by the end-customer. A recent study showed that 40% of consumers are more likely to choose brands that have environmentally sustainable practices/ values.

What will it cost me?
For the past year, several SME’s have been enjoying the benefits that the Rio platform brings. This has been provided by Norwich BID through funding which comes to an end on 31 March 2024. The Rio platform provides SME’s with sustainability related learning content and the ability to manage and report on a wide variety of data and associated carbon emissions.
For those SME’s who wish to retain the Rio platform from 1 April, you will now need to have a subscription directly with Rio. Subscriptions start from just £500 a month for access to the Engage learning library only, and the annual enterprise license for sustainability data management is £35,000 per annum with an optional additional £20,000 per annum to access consultant services support. All businesses using the platform today will be entitled to a 30% discount in their first year should they agree a contract with Rio by the 31st of March.
