Norwich BID is Supporting Norwich Lanes Summer Fayre in 2025

Norwich Business Improvement District (BID) is proudly sponsoring Norwich Lanes Summer Fayre!

One of Norfolk’s largest free one-day street events is set to return this summer, on Sunday 13th July. The Norwich Lanes Summer Fayre regularly attracts over 25,000 people each year and showcases everything that makes this vibrant area so very special.

Commenting on Norwich BID’s support for the event, Executive Director Stefan Gurney said: “Norwich BID is delighted to sponsor the Norwich Lanes Summer Fayre, a celebration of our city’s vibrant independent spirit and rich cultural heritage. Events like these bring our community together, support local businesses, and showcase what makes Norwich such a special place to live, work, and visit.”

On the day, the streets, alleyways, courtyards, and open spaces that form the Lanes will be filled to the brim with bustling independent markets, live bands, DJs, and walkabout performances too. In addition, many of the area’s 500+ independent businesses will take part, offering in-store entertainment and special promotions. Other highlights include delicious street food prepared on-site, free entry to local museums, and a range of unique family-friendly activities held in some of the area’s usually hidden venues.

This wonderful event is organised by the Norwich Lanes Association, a small independent group of business owners and professionals who live or work in the area. This year’s fayre is also sponsored by Norwich University of the Arts (NUA), which will also host a live art show on St. Benedicts Street, led by artist Will Teather.

The Norwich Lanes Summer Fayre is further supported by Norwich City Council, who will close the streets to traffic for the day and provide security and first aid staff to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all.

The Norwich Lanes Summer Fayre takes place on Sunday 13th July, from 11am to 5pm. For more information, please visit www.norwichlanes.co.uk.

“We are absolutely delighted to be hosting this wonderful event once again. It truly showcases everything that makes this unique part of the city so very special.”
